University Park— It wasn’t pretty, but Penn State did indeed beat Rutgers Saturday.
Led by Kaytron Allen, who scored two TDs, PSU got back in the win column 20-6.
But big story from the game is the health of Drew Allar.
Allar suffered an injury in the third quarter and didn’t come back for the rest of the game. Backup QB Beau Pribula took over.
Here’s how the social media reacted to Penn State’s win.
FINAL: Penn State 27, Rutgers 6
Lions win on senior day, but now all attention turns to Drew Allar's status.
Will he play next week against Michigan State? Will he play again this season? And beyond?
Lots of questions right now.— Cory Giger (@CoryGiger) November 18, 2023
Good bounce back, offense still in question but Beau looked pretty electric on the ground and the rb duo had it goin https://t.co/tYanvkrYqc

Well, in a season of disappointment for #PennState football, at least one thing remains true…

Has anyone other than Chop Robinson, the individual, played well enough to deserve to win this game? Both Rutgers and Penn State have been awful today.

Penn State’s Stadium half empty against Rutgers. I think it’s safe to say Nittany Lion fans are very mad at James Franklin. pic.twitter.com/SAB8uizih9

PSU is going to win this game.
Rutgers' offense isn't good enough, & PSU defense knows it has to take care of business.
But at this point, status of Drew Allar is all that matters for program.
Hope to get some kind of real update from James Franklin, but he rarely does that.— Cory Giger (@CoryGiger) November 18, 2023
Can Pribula just not throw, or is this like when Penn State had Will Levis and was like “No, you’re the running QB” and just ignored the fact that he could throw?

Chop Robinson and Alex Felkins are my only sources of joy on this team

Nicholas Singleton fumbles.
Hard to believe how much of a dropoff he's had this season. A step slower, not attacking with the ball, obviously not breaking off any big runs.— Cory Giger (@CoryGiger) November 18, 2023
