Joe Tipton, National Recruiting Expert for On3Sports.com, is reporting that Penn State is a finalist for talented forward David Punch (6-foot-7, 220-pounds).

Punch is a 2024 four-star power forward from Harker Heights, TX. According to Tipton, Punch will announce his decision this coming Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and will be choosing between Penn State, VCU and NC State. Aside from these three schools, Punch held offers from North Texas, Colorado State, Xavier, Virginia Tech, Virginia and TCU.

On3 Sports ranks Punch as a four-star Top 100 recruit, while Rivals lists him as a three-star (138th overall) and 247 Sports rates him as a four-star recruit (107th overall).

Tracking his latest visits, Punch was at Virginia on October 13, Virginia Tech on September 30, Xavier on September 22, NC State on September 15 and Penn State on September 9th.
