Penn State to Get Visit from Elite Florida Quarterback

Penn State has done an excellent job recruiting the quarterback position over their last few recruiting classes and are looking to continue that trend.

This weekend, Penn State will be hosting 2026 4-star quarterback Dia Bell.

Bell is from American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and currently holds a 5.9 rating from Rivals.com. In terms of his national ranking, Bell is rated as the No. 31 overall sophomore player by Rivals. Currently, Bell holds offers from Penn State, BYU, Florida, Miami Fla., Houston,Vanderbilt, Florida International and West Virginia.

This will be the second consecutive week that Bell has seen Penn State, as last weekend he was in Columbus as a guest of Ohio State. Other visits for Bell over the last few months include trips to LSU, BYU, Utah and a previous summer visit to Penn State.

Nittany Sports Now caught up with Bell and asked him about this weekend’s visit to Happy Valley and what’s the biggest thing he’ll be looking forward to finding out.

“I’ve been waiting on a chance to get back to Happy Valley since I camped there in July,” Bell tells NSN. “I am excited to see the campus while school is in and to see what a game day is like in Beaver Stadium. Penn St is a great football program and a great school, which is important to me. There is a lot that impresses me about Penn St. Maybe most of all is the coaches.”

Dia Bell is the son of former NBA player Raja Bell and Dia is also a standout basketball player in Florida. Last season, he averaged 20.7 points, 5 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2 steals as a freshman.
