Penn State Moves Up in Latest AP Poll

James Franklin meets Nittany Lion defensive back Johnny Dixon during pregame warmups.

Penn State has moved up one spot in the latest AP Poll.

The week 10 poll released Sunday placed PSU No. 9 on the Top 25 after being ranked No. 10 a week ago.

The Nittany Lions held on to defeat Indiana at home 33-24 in a back-and-forth affair Saturday. Michigan and Ohio State remain No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Rutgers (two) was the only other Big Ten team to receive votes.

Oklahoma moved down four spots after a last-minute loss at Kanasas and dropped from No. 6 to No. 10, allowing Penn State to move up.

The first College Football Playoff rankings will be released Tuesday night at 7 p.m. New lists will be revealed every Tuesday night until the end of the season and the four-team playoff is set.
