Update (1:21 p.m.)—

**We have our first “Hawkeye Wave” of 2023. The “ “Hawkeye Wave” is an Iowa tradition in which 70,000+ fans wave to pediatric patients and their families at UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital. This has been a tradition since 2017.

Update (1:13 p.m.)—

**Deion Burkes caught his second touchdown pass of the day, putting the Boilers back ahead, 21-14. Still in the first half, Burkes has two catches for 101 yards— both for touchdowns. This one was a 17-yarder from Ole Miss transfer Hudson Card.

Update (1:05 p.m.)—

**No. 2 Michigan shouldn’t have any trouble with East Carolina, and the early results back that up. The Wolverines— playing without coach Jim Harbaugh, whose suspended for three games— are up on ECU, 14-0. Here’s the first score— a 14-yard pass from J.J. McCarthy to Roman Wilson.

Update (12:56 p.m.)—

**Purdue’s Deion Burkes went 84 yards to the house, catching a pass from Ole Miss transfer QB Hudson Card. The Boilers are in a dog fight with Fresno State, tied at 14 in West Lafayette.

Update (12:48 p.m.)—

**The Cade McNamara era is off to a decent start at Iowa. The Michigan transfer QB has thrown two touchdown passes, a 3-yarder to TE and fellow former Wolverine Erik All and a 36-yarder to Seth Anderson. Iowa leads Utah State 14-0 late in the first quarter.
