Xavier Porter, a four-star defensive end out of Tampa Catholic High School (Fla.), has put Penn State in his top three schools alongside Louisville and Kansas.

Porter is a Top 60 prospect in the state of Florida for the Class of 2024. While playing both at tackle and edge rusher, he ranks as high as the No. 23 defensive end in the 2024 cycle, according to Rivals.
The 6-foot-2, 280-pound lineman had a productive junior season for Tampa Catholic, collecting 50 tackles and two sacks in 11 games, while helping the Crusaders go 9-2 on the 2022 season and earn a berth in the Florida Class 2M regional semifinals.
He is coached by Jeris McIntyre, a former Auburn wide receiver who had a stint in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Porter made an official visit to Penn State just over a week ago, making the trip to State College from June 9-11. He also visited Louisville on June 2 and Kansas this past weekend.

Porter selected his trio of schools out of a total of 27 Division I offers, which included the likes of Auburn, Michigan, Oklahoma, Florida State and Tennessee.
