Head coach James Franklin and the Penn State football program are one step closer to grabbing another quality player to help boost the Nittany Lions’ offense.
Caleb Odom, a four-star Class of 2024 recruit out of Carrollton High School (Ga.), listed Penn State as one of his top seven schools on Friday morning, according to a report by Jeremy Johnson of On3Sports.

A 6-foot-5, 215-pound wide receiver/tight end combo prospect, Odom has also put Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Florida, Colorado and Miami within his top seven along with the Nittany Lions. Odom is scheduled to visit Miami on June 23.
Odom is currently ranked 112th in the ESPN 300 for the Class of 2024, along with being the fifth-ranked tight end and 18th overall in the state of Georgia.
This past fall, Odom compiled 64 receptions for 1,121 yards and 13 touchdowns for Carrollton. Odom’s performance earned him a First Team selection on the MaxPreps Junior All-America Team.
