On Friday, former Penn State running back Devyn Ford exited the transfer portal and landed at Notre Dame.

Ford left the team in the middle of last season to focus on his academics, according to head coach James Franklin.
Ford (5-foot-11, 200 pounds) played at North Stafford High School in Stafford, Virginia, and played three seasons at Penn State. Last season in four games he rushed forn37 yards in four games and recorded five receptions for 31 yards.
In 2021, Ford recorded 14 carries for 61 yards and three catches for 14 yards, and was then the primary kickoff returner. He recorded nine wase kickoffs for 191 yards,
In 2020, he rushed for 274 yards n 67 carries, and three touchdowns and his season-high was against Indiana with 69 yards.
In his debut game in 2019 against Idaho, he rushed for a career-high 107 yards, including an 81-yard touchdown run. He rushed for 294 yards on 52 carries on the season.
He will be playing alongside G’Brien Price, Allen Estime, and freshman Jerimiah Love in the running back room at Notre Dame.
