Penn State Class of 2025 commit Kiandrea Barker tweeted Thursday night that he had received an offer from Wisconsin.

Barker committed to Penn State the Saturday of the Blue-White Game, April 15 and publicly announced that commitment next day.

The 5-foot-11, 183-pound running back is a four-star recruit according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Barker plans on playing his last two seasons of high school football at the Woodlands School in Houston, Texas. He previously played at Beebe High School in Arkansas. Barker is the No. 18 running back in the ‘25 class according to 247 Composite, and is also the No. 28 overall player in Texas and the No. 172 overall player nationally.

Nittany Sports Now spoke with Barker the Saturday night before he made his commitment public. Barker described himself to NSN as a “hard runner” who is fast and capable of making big plays but also not afraid to lower the boom on a defender.

Barker has lived in Arkansas for most of his life. He’s originally from Los Angeles, but his family moved to Newport, Arkansas, when he was five and then to Beebe, less than an hour away.

Penn State is far away from Arkansas, but Barker felt committing was “the right thing to do.”

“They showed me love,” Barker told Nittany Sports Now, “and then they gave me my first big offer when I was in my freshman year and kept a mutual relationship ever since then.”

Barker is one of three commits in Penn State’s 2025 Class and is the most recent one. Four-star OT Jaelyne Matthews (Toms River, New Jersey) and three-star defensive back Omari Gaines (Newark, New Jersey) committed in March. Barker is the only running back in Penn State’s ‘25 class thus far and is also the only skill-position player.
