Twitter Reacts to Joey Porter Jr., Will Levis Falling out of 1st Round

Penn State Nittany Lions cornerback Joey Porter Jr. (9) Penn State Nittany Lions Post Game November 12, 2022 David Hague/NSN

Thursday was supposed to be the night Joey Porter Jr. became the first Penn State defensive back ever selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.

It didn’t turn out that way.

Four defensive backs went in the first round, and Porter wasn’t one of them.

Penn State fans and some players took to Twitter to give their thoughts on Porter’s fall. They weren’t too pleased.

Another ex-Penn Stater, Will Levis, was supposed to be a high draft pick.

Levis had the second-highest odds to go No. 1 overall as of Tuesday, but the quarterback who became a two-year starter at Kentucky fell out of the first round.

Penn State twitter wasn’t quite as outraged about that.
