Joey Porter Jr. is a Pittsburgh Steeler.

His dad’s old team selected the former Penn State corner with the first pick of the second round (32nd overall) in this year’s draft.

Porter was projected to go Thursday night in the first round, but it wasn’t to be.

But things worked out OK for JPJ. He’s going to a place where his father played for seven seasons, became a first-team All-Pro. The younger Porter grew up near Pittsburgh, playing at North Allegheny High School.
