Penn State has scheduled an official visit with 2024 four-star edge rusher Jaylen Harvey (6-foot-2, 235-pounds) for June 9, Harvey tweeted Wednesday afternoon.
Harvey is a four-star on ESPN and Rivals, as well as his average composite rankings, but he is listed as a three-star on On3 and 247Sports. His average ranking has him as the 23rd-best edge rusher in the country and ninth-best player in Maryland.

Hailing from Quince Orchard High School in Potomac, Maryland, Harvey is unanimously projected to commit to Penn State 247Sports, On3 and Rivals. On3 lists former Penn State defensive line coach John Scott Jr. as the lead recruiter. Deion Barnes is now in that role, succeeding Scott in March, the night before spring practice.
As the embedded tweet above shows, Harvey also scheduled official visits with USC (June 17) and Ohio State (June 25). PSU is his first of the three, and he is still looking to schedule two more, as all recruits get five.

Harvey previously had scheduled a visit with Notre Dame for June 9. It’s not known why he replaced Notre Dame with Penn State, but it plays into the theory that Penn State is his top choice currently. He hasn’t rescheduled his official visit to Notre Dame as of yet.
Other schools that could get one of those last two official visits are Maryland and South Carolina, both of which are listed as “warm” on 247Sports.
He received 23 total offers during his recruiting cycle from Boston College, Buffalo, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Liberty, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Penn State, Syracuse, Tennessee, USC, Vanderbilt, Washington and West Virginia.
