Reigning A-10 Player of the Year and key Penn State target Ace Baldwin is making an announcement Easter Sunday, he tweeted Saturday night.

Baldwin wrote that he’ll announcing “when I wake up,” tomorrow, so it’s not clear what the exact time will be yet.
Baldwin also didn’t specifically say what he would be announcing, but most who read the tweet will assume that he’s announcement his commitment, and common sense backs up that feeling.

Rhoades became Penn State’s new coach last week. Hours after Rhoades’s introductory press conference, a source told Nittany Sports Now that Penn State was targeting Baldwin, which shouldn’t have surprise anybody. All four of 247Sports’ “Crystal Ball” predictions have Baldwin picking Penn State. If Penn State does land Baldwin, there’s a good chance he’d be the top player in Penn State’s transfer class this cycle.
He’d also be an ideal replacement for Jalen Pickett at point guard. The departing Pickett finished up one of the best seasons in Penn State history last month, becoming Penn State’s first All-American since Jesse Arnelle accomplished that feat in 1955. Baldwin finished last season averaging 12.7 points and 5.8 assists per game, helping VCU to a sweep of the A-10 regular-season and tournament championships.
PSU needs all the players it can get. A combination of maximized eligibility and the transfer portal has left Penn State with two scholarship players that are firmly committed to the program. Baldwin would be a great start to forming what will essentially be a new roster.
