2024 3-Star Offensive Lineman Jake Guarnera Has Penn State in His Top 5

Class of 2024 three-star offensive lineman Jake Guarnera from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, has narrowed his school choices down to five and Penn State has made the list.

Penn State is in the running along with Florida, Michigan, NC State and Rutgers for Guarana (6-foot-4, 290-pounds) is the No. 36 interior offensive lineman nationally and the No. 73 in Florida according to 247Sports.

Jake’s father, Jim, played at Rutgers from 1991-1995 and was at training camp for the San Fransico 49ers in 1996.

Guarnera currently plays left tackle for Ponte Vedra and was part of an offense that averaged 175 rushing yards per game. He also competes in the shot put, where he is the reigning district champion throwing a 50’6’.

Guarnera spoke about Penn State head coach James Franklin and his past and future visits to campus to Chris Boyle of Staugustine.com.

“I’ve been to Penn State twice, once for the White Out and once for a camp. I’ll be going back a third time and plan to have any remaining questions questioned. State College is a cool area, and I like it’s a bit secluded. James Franklin signed a long-term deal (signed through 2031), and that’s an insurance that he will be there for most if not all of my college career.”

Guarnera will announce his commitment April 28.
