‘Ticket Punched’: Twitter Reaction to Penn State Likely Clinching 1st NCAA Tournament Berth in 12 Years

Penn State is probably going dancing.

10th-seeded Penn State came into its first-round Big Ten Tournament matchup with Illinois needing a win to virtually lock up an NCAA Tournament appearance.

It got a win 79-76 and beat Illinois for the third time in three tries this season.

Penn State (20-12) still has at least one more game to play before Selection Sunday, taking on No. 2 Northwestern at 6:30 CT in the quarterfinals.

But it feels like Penn State is playing with house money.
