Penn State is going dancing but the team didn’t get an easy draw.
Coach Micah Shrewsberry’s squad is one of the hottest teams in the county, but so is Texas A&M.
Penn State has won eight of its last 10 dating back to the regular-season. Texas A&M has won 11 of 13. Both teams played in their conference’s championship games Sunday. Penn State fell to Purdue and A&M lost to Alabama, both of which are No. 1 seeds.
Here’s how the people of Twitter reacted to Penn State being back in the dance, and its first-round matchup.

The good news for Penn State is that Texas A&M's two main leading scorers are both 6'2 and under [30 ppg]. Then again the next two are 6'9 and 6'8 [20 ppg]

With Pitt, Penn State and WVU all projected to be in the NCAA Tournament, I’d expect the viewership for Selection Sunday to do record numbers in the greater Pittsburgh area and surrounding counties.

Penn State got F’d. Should have been a better seed. And got matched up with the 2nd best SEC team.

You play four games in four days and draw the best player in the country on a team that’s grabbing a 1-seed. Hung with them for a while, too. Can’t complain about much at all.
Hearing your name for the NCAA Tourney is a great reward for the work Penn State did this week

I actually LOVE what the committee did with Texas A&M.
DO NOT REWARD POWER LEAGUE TEAMS WHO DON'T SCHEDULE IN THE NON-CONFERENCE.
— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanHoops) March 12, 2023
They made a pretty similar run. Will be a battle

Hard to say ….team we beat 3 times seeded ahead of us … But Rutgers left out…so I'll take it
— Eric Pitchford (@EricPitchford1) March 12, 2023
A tough game to be sure, but with the way they played against Purdue in the last 5 minutes, they can beat anybody.

Texas A&M vs Penn State. Winner to be known as the ultimate cult.

As we talk about breaking the tournament drought, I’d like to shoutout great Penn State players like Lamar Stevens, John Harrar, Mike Watkins and others who had their opportunity to go dancing taken away from them.
Let’s get this W Thursday for them 🫡
