It will be a big recruiting weekend in Happy Valley as the Penn State football program will have their Junior Day weekend.
For some players, it will be the first-time seeing Penn State with more than just a Game Day visit, and for other players who have already been to campus, it will be another opportunity to evaluate James Franklin’s program and to spend more time with the coaches.
While hundreds of players will be attending, no doubt, the biggest name in State College this weekend will be Quinton Martin.
Nittany Sports Now has learned that Martin has decided to visit Penn State. Martin is a 2024 5-star recruit from Belle Vernon High School in Western Pennsylvania. Both 247 Sports and Rivals rate Martin as one of the Top 20 juniors in the country and the No. 1 junior in Pennsylvania.

Terry Smith has developed a solid relationship with Martin, but Penn State has plenty of competition for him. The 6’3″, 200-pound athlete holds offers from programs such as Pitt, Ohio State, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Unlike a lot of recruits, Martin has kept his recruitment and any early leaders very quiet.
Earlier this week, Penn State landed one top junior from Western Pennsylvania in Central Catholic 4-star linebacker Anthony Speca and now have their sights set on Martin.
That process will continue this weekend at Junior Day.
