Duck, a former North Carolina Tar Heel, committed to Penn State Dec. 28 after entering the transfer portal earlier in the month.
Duck played in Chapel Hill for four seasons and will use his last year of eligibility at Penn State.
He played well this past year, earning second-team All-ACC honors.
He ended the year with 46 tackles (36 solo,) three interceptions, a tackle for loss and a forced fumble. Penn State will be losing Joey Porter Jr. to the NFL, but has multiple talented cornerbacks returning, led by Kalen King. Along with King, Johnny Dixon, Daequan Hardy and Zakee Wheatley— who played safety this season but can also play corner— are also set to return. Along with his talent, Duck will also give Penn State experience, having played at a Power Five school for four seasons. Duck missed all but two games lf the 2020 season with an injury and only played in six games the next year. Before that, Duck played in all 13 of North Carolina’s games as a freshman and started nine of them.
Of course, as a bonus, Duck has one of the most unique names perhaps in Penn State football history. But how he plays on the field will determine how Duck will be remembered for what will be a short tenure in Happy Valley.
