Twitter Reaction to College Football Playoff Expanding

Now that the Rose Bowl is on board, the College Football Playoff will expand starting in the 2024 season, barring unforeseen circumstances.

For Penn State football and its fans, this should be good news.

Penn State has never made the Playoff in its current 4-team format but would have made it four times had the 12-team Playoff begun in 2016.

Judging from Twitter reactions, Penn State fans, for the most part, are happy. But not every college football fan is. Some love the future format. Some loathe it.

Here’s how the people of Twitter reacted to news that the expanded Playoff looks to be starting in 2024, not 2026, which would have been the season without the Rose Bowl being on board.
