Penn State men’s basketball won its’ fourth straight victory against Delaware State 60-46 at the Bryce Jordan Center Thursday afternoon.
Penn State has played three consecutive non-conference games after starting Big Ten Conference play earlier this month. Outscoring the past three opponents 308-240.
The Nittany Lions showed they had no problem dealing with the Hornets and their 1-3-1 defense. Even when Penn State held a lead of only three points, they showed no panic and kept Delaware State at arm’s length the entire game. Finishing with a total field goal percentage of 30.7% along with a 3-point percentage of just 25%.
Jalen Pickett was mainly quiet due to some knee issues that popped up throughout the game, Pickett finished with 10 points and four Rebounds. Seth Lundy was had a great night finishing with 12 Points and five rebounds. Another notable player was Andrew Funk who finished the game with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Despite Delaware hanging around longer than welcomed, the Penn State Nittany Lions clawed away with a hard-fought victory. Penn State plays The Iowa Hawkeyes next at the Bryce Jordan Center on January 1st at 5:30 pm.
