WATCH: Tinsley’s ‘Sweet Sideline Grab’ Helps Penn State Open Scoring

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN - SEPTEMBER 01: Penn State Nittany Lions wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley (5) and Penn State Nittany Lions offensive lineman Juice Scruggs (70) celebrate a touchdown during the college football game between the Purdue Boilermakers and Penn State Nittany Lions on September 1, 2022, at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, IN. Penn State drew first blood against Indiana, and this great catch by Mitchell Tinsley was a reason why.

With Penn State facing a third and eight from Indiana’s 41, Tinsley made a clutch play along the sidelines and stayed in bounds.

Tinsley had another big catch on third and eight later in the drive that moved the ball to the IU 2. Penn State scored two plays later on a 1-yard run by Nick Singleton.

The game is tied at 7 in the first quarter.
