Class of 2023 three-star guard Logan Imes out of Zionsville High School in Zionsville, Indiana has signed his letter of intent to play basketball at Penn State.
Imes committed to Penn State on March 29, choosing Penn State over schools such as Creighton, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.
Imes is the number six player in Indiana, and the No. 23 combo guard in the class of 2023, according to 247Sports. Penn State was his first major offer last winter.
The 6-foot-4, Imes averaged 17.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game as a junior playing for coach J.R. Howell.
Imes is a good creator on offense, and Imes told 247Sports that Penn State head coach Micah Shrewsberry wants three creators on the court at once. He gives Penn State a bona fide perimeter shooter, who has a lot of playing experience playing AAU basketball with Braeden Shrewsberry, a fellow Penn State signee on the Indiana Elite squad.
Imes will provide Penn State with another young guard with the scoring and playmaking ability with freshman guards Jameel Brown and Kanye Clary to provide depth in the backcourt in future years.
Imes should be in the mix for Indiana’s Mr. Basketball in the 2022-2023 season.
