Drew Allar Has New NIL Deal for Children’s Book

Courtesy Drew Allar

Penn State football took on another NIL project when they released a children’s book, and the subject is freshman quarterback Drew Allar. Allar will share his story about how he rose to become a member of the Penn State football team in the children’s book called “The Men In Back”.

Allar with the help of his family will be partnering with author Andy Vodopia. Vodopia helped publish a children’s book with three Michigan offensive linemen Trevor Keagan, Ryan Hayes, and Zak Zinter called “The Men Up Front” over the spring in a similar NIL project. Allar’s book will be an opportunity for young Penn State fans to know about their quarterback and can be taught lessons at the same time.

The 34-page book will cost $20 for the book by itself, with a $50 option available to the first 100 buyers to have the book autographed by Allar.

Vodopia spoke to Blue White Illustrated, previewing the context of the book, and thinks not just children but also adults will enjoy the book as well.

“It will cover things about you that people wouldn’t necessarily know, but always done in a cute fashion,” Vodopia said.

“I’ll routinely get asked, what’s the age group? We call it a children’s book, but the reality is I’m finding adults like it, too. And not so much for the reading of the material. It’s that it’s kind of unique, and if you’re a fan, let’s face it, what can you get that can last forever for $20.”
