Northwestern is 1-3 against the spread so far this season, being upset at home by Duke, Southern Illinois and Miami of Ohio.
Penn State is 14-5 all-time against Northwestern and 7-2 at Beaver Stadium in a series that dates back to 1993, the year Penn State started playing in the Big Ten. The teams haven’t met since 2017, when Penn State won at Ryan Field, 31-7.
Northwestern’s only win thus far came in Dublin, Ireland, against a Nebraska team that self-destructed with bad coaching decisions.
Nebraska’s Scott Frost has since been fired by the school.
Meanwhile, Penn State has two Power Five road wins on its resume and covered on both occasions, beating Purdue and Auburn on the road.
