Tomarrion Parker, a four-star defensive lineman from the Class of 2023, has committed to Penn State.
The 6-foot-4, 255-pound defensive lineman from Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama, is the 14th player to commit to Penn State’s 2023 class and the third defensive line prospect. Parker’s commitment comes less than 72 hours after another defensive line prospect, three-star Tyriq Blanding, announced his commitment Friday night.
Parker is a unanimous four-star recruit. He is rated as the No. 48 recruit in the country by 247 Sports and is in the top 175 among all four major national recruiting services. According to 247, he is the No. 6 player in Alabama in the Class of 2023.
He chose Penn State out of a final five that also included Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and Tennessee. He had other Power Five offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Cincinnati, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.
Penn State has three seniors among the projected top group along the defensive line in Adisa Isaac, PJ Mustipher and Nick Tarburton, and the Class of 2023 will attempt to fill that group with depth next fall.
Parker’s commitment comes on the heels of Penn State’s biggest recruiting weekend of the summer, with several perspective recruits on campus this past weekend for official visits. Other visitors, such as London Montgomery, Tony Rojas and King Mack, have had 247Sports “crystal ball” projections to Penn State placed within the past week.
Rojas and fellow linebacker prospect Ta’Mere Robinson both took their official visits, and both announced their commitment dates for July 5 and July 15, respectively.
