Treyaun Webb, a four-star recruit from Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida, who is the No. 5 running back in the nation from the class of 2023 according to 247Sports’ composite rankings, is changing his commitment date.
I Will No Longer Be Committing On The 30th…
— Treyaun Webb (@w_treyaun) June 28, 2022
Initially, Webb planned on committing Thursday, June 30, but tweeted Monday night that he will no longer be doing so. Webb has not yet said when he plans on committing, but many Penn State fans are interested to know when that will be.
Webb has Penn State in his top three, along with Florida and South Carolina. Multiple 247Sports crystal ball predictions have Webb committing to Penn State, and he’d be a big get for coach James Franklin and his staff for multiple reasons.
Of course, the biggest thing that draws Penn State and any other school to Webb is his talent. Webb rushed for 1200 yards and 11 touchdowns in 10 games in 2021, helping Trinity Christian to a state championship win.
It would also be impressive for Franklin and company to beat out Florida for Webb. Florida is Webb’s home state and where his cousin, Dee, played cornerback in the 2000s.
If Webb commits to Penn State, he’ll be the first running back in Franklin’s 2023 class. Penn State has five-star Nick Singleton and four-star Kaytron Allen on its roster from the 2022 class.
