Rodney Gallagher, a four-star ATH from Laurel Highlands High School in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, who has Penn State in his top eight, will announce his commitment July 4.

It could be a happy Fourth of July for Penn State fans. Gallagher is the second-ranked player in Pennsylvania from the 2023 class, and Penn State has the No. 1 player (Wyomissing’s J’ven Williams) and No. 10 player (Chartiers Valley’s Lamont Payne) committed. Gallagher is also the ninth-ranked ATH nationally in his class, and is one of the nation’s top 100 players overall according to 247Sports’ site rankings.
Gallagher’s top eight consists of Oklahoma State, Oregon, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pitt, Texas, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. Gallagher has official visits lined up with West Virginia (June 3-5), Notre Dame (June 10-12), Oklahoma State (June 13-15) and Penn State (June 17-19). Gallagher last unofficially visited Penn State April 30.
Interestingly Gallagher’s 247Sports’ player comparison, placed by National Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn, is Jahan Dotson, a former Penn State receiver who the Washington Commanders drafted last month.
