A second top junior defensive playmaker has scheduled an official visit to Penn State later on this summer.
Earlier today, 2023 4-star defensive tackle Justin Benton announced he’ll be using one of his five official visits to travel to State College in September.
Now, 2023 4-star defensive end Mason Robinson tells Nittany Sports Now that he’ll do the same and will make a return trip to Penn State the weekend of June 24. Robinson also tells NSN that he is currently on an official visit to Northwestern and has also scheduled a visit to Virginia Tech for June 10.
Robinson (6-foot-3, 220 pounds) is from McDonogh High School in Owings Mills, Maryland and is getting recruited to Penn State by assistant coach John Scott and grad assistant Deion Barnes.

Robinson is no stranger to State College as he’s already made four unofficial visits, the latest of which came in April. Most recruiting analysts consider Penn State the heavy favorites to land this pass rushing specialist. Robinson has also made multiple unofficial visits to Virginia Tech and Pitt.
Along with the Nittany Lions, Virginia Tech and Northwestern, Robinson holds offers from Georgia, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pitt, South Carolina, Stanford, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
