Two Friday’s ago, Treyaun Webb, a 2023 four-star running back/ath from Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida, announced that Penn State was among his top five schools.
That was good news for Penn State fans, but a report by recruiting insider Mike Farrell is better news.
Farrell tweeted Monday night that he’s heard that, of Webb’s five schools— Penn State, Florida, Baylor, Tennessee and South Carolina— Penn State and Florida are the two favorites.
Top five for elite 4 star RB/ATH Treyaun Webb @w_treyaun seems to be #SicEm #Gators #PSU #Vols and #Gamecocks. But heard edge might be to Florida and Penn State right now.

Webb rushed for 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns this past season while helping Trinity Christian to a second straight state championship.

Penn State has plenty of talent at running back, with five-star Nick Singleton and four-star Kaytron Allen already on campus from the class of 2022, and Keyvone Lee returning from last season. Webb can also play defensive back, however, and as of now, four-star Lamont Payne is the only corner Penn State has committed to its 2023 class.
Webb visited Florida this past weekend— where his brother, Dee, played in the 2000s— and is visiting Baylor June 4, Penn State June 11, Tennessee June 18 and South Carolina June 24.
