Earlier this week, Penn State coach James Franklin announced that this year’s Blue-White game will be played on an offense/defense format and said that a scoring system was still being worked out.
The scoring system was revealed Friday, and it is as follows:
DEFENSE
- Defensive touchdown— 7 points
- Safety— 2 points
- Fumble recovery— 2 points
- Interception— 3 points
- 3-and-out— 2 points
- Sack— 2 points
- Forced punt— 1 point
OFFENSE
- Touchdown— 6 points
- Extra point— 1 point
- Field goal— 3 points
The offense will be wearing white, and the defense blue. Quarterbacks will wear a light-blue jersey, and the scrimmage will be played in eight sections, some of which will be full contact and others not.
