On Monday evening, Daemon Fagan, a 2023 four-star recruit out of American Heritage High School in Plantation, Fla. listed Penn State in his top eight schools.
Fagan is a 6-foot-3, 175-pound safety that is also considering Miami, NC State, Ohio State, Florida State, LSU, Central Florida, and Georgia. According to Rivals.com, he is the No. 202 prospect in the country, the 10th ranked safety and the 36th best prospect in the state of Florida.
Fagan missed time due to an ankle injury, but had 28 tackles and two interceptions in 2021 for the Patriots. Fagan played on a secondary that included Virginia Signee Jacoby Spells and Alabama signee Earl Little Jr. In 2020, he picked off four passes and made the Miami Herald 5A-Ind second team on defense.
Fagan is a rangy athlete that will look to bounce back from the ankle injury to move up the ranks among the best safeties in the country. He could easily add 10 to 15 pounds to his frame so he can better hold up in the running game and when he does, he can be one of the best safeties in the country. If he comes to Penn State, he would join Lamont Payne in the ranks of defensive back recruits for Penn State.
