Update (8:35 PM)-
**Tonight, Penn State football extends an offer to 2023 4-star defensive end Caleb Herring (6’5″, 205) from Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. 247 Sports ranks Herring as one of the Top 50 juniors in the country. Some of Herring’s offers include Tennessee, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Penn State, South Carolina, USC, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Update (3:28 PM)-

**Former Syracuse quarterback Tommy DeVito is transferring to Illinois. DeVito threw for 19 touchdowns to just five interceptions in 2019, but wasn’t able to replicate that success over the next two years. He suffered a season-ending injury in Week 4 of 2020 and entered the transfer portal by Week 6 of 2021.

Penn State isn’t scheduled to play Illinois in 2022, but is set to go to Champagne Sept. 16, 2023.

Update (2:48 PM)-
**2023 3-star safety TJ Metcalf from Pinson, Alabama will make an unofficial visit to Penn State this weekend. Pinson holds offers from Penn State, West Virginia, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Liberty and Florida State.

Update (2:34 PM)-
**A third player from the St. Frances Academy football team will visit Penn State this weekend. 2023 defensive lineman Brian Simms III (6’4″, 240) will make an unofficial visit on Saturday. Simms holds offers from Penn State, Ole Miss, Boston College, Bowling Green, Toledo and Buffalo.

Update (2:19 PM)-
**Terry Smith and Penn State extend an offer today to 2023 cornerback Carter Stoutmire from Prestonwood Christian in Plano, Texas. Stoutmire has also earned offers from Mississippi State, Mississippi State, Kansas and Arizona.

Update (12:30 PM)- 

**Penn State will receive an unofficial visit this weekend from 2023 3-star defensive end Dashawn Womack from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. Womack currently holds offers from Arizona, Boston College, Colorado, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, Michigan, Ole Miss , Oklahoma, Pitt, Rutgers, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Update (12:16 PM)- 

**2023 3-star WR Lamar Patterson, from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore,,Maryland, will make an unofficial visit this weekend to Penn State. Patterson holds offers from Arizona State, Boston College, Michigan, Pitt, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Update (11:44 AM)-
**Penn State will receive a visit this weekend from 2023 3-star linebacker Tony Rojas from Fairfax, Virginia. Rojas (6’3″, 205) has already made 3 unofficial visits to Penn State. At this state of his recruitment, Rojas holds offers from Boston College, Duke, Maryland, Ole Miss, NC State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Pitt, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
