The “Jim Harbaugh back to the NFL” rumors persist.
Pro Football Talk reported Saturday that the Michigan boss is interviewing for the Minnesota Vikings head coaching position, which opened up when the team fired Mike Zimmer earlier in the month.

Harbaugh had previously been linked to the Las Vegas Raiders’ vacancy, but speculation has slowed recently. The Vikings just filled their general manager position, hiring Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. The Vikings have interviewed Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, Buccaneers defensive coordinator Todd Bowles and Rams DC Raheem Morris, among others, for their head coaching job.
Harbaugh is coming off his best season at Michigan, finishing 12-2 with a Big Ten Championship and a berth in the College Football Playoff. Through seven seasons, he’s 61-24 overall and 42–17 in the Big Ten. Before returning to his alma mater, Harbaugh was in charge of the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-14 and went 44-19 with three trips to the NFC Championship Game and an appearance in Super Bowl 47.
