Some of the athletes they’ll be seeing include Laurel Highlands’ Rodney Gallagher and Belle Vernon’s Devin Whitlock and Quinton Martin.

Gallagher is a four-star recruit according to 247Sports’s composite ratings. Penn State is not listed among the favorites to land him, but he still has another season to play. Whitlock and Martin each helped lead Belle Vernon to a WPIAL championship game berth.
Although Martin just a sophomore, he already has a four-star rating by 247’s individual system. He has been recruited by Smith and Penn State currently is on his “list” according to 247.
