Four days after declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft, now-former Penn State defensive end/linebacker Jesse Luketa announced his intent to workout at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
Luketa ended his Penn State career with a nine-tackle performance in New Year’s Days 24-10 Outback Bowl loss to Arkansas. He contributed in all four of his years as a Nittany Lion, becoming a regular starter in 2020. Although he moved from linebacker to defensive end in the 2021 season, he’s still listed as an outside linebacker prospect by ESPN’s Todd McShay, who has him ranked eighth at the position in his latest 2022 Draft rankings.

Luketa will hope to follow in the footsteps of Odafe Oweh and Micah Parsons, who each worked out at this past spring’s combine and have become to of the best defensive rookies in the NFL this season.
The combine is scheduled from Tuesday, March 1 to Monday, March 7.
