Tuesday was disappointing for Jahan Dotson in one way.
Penn State’s senior wideout — who has 83 receptions, 10 touchdowns and became the fourth receiver in school history with more than 1,000 yards in a season this past Saturday against Rutgers — wasn’t named one of the three finalists for the Fred Biletnikoff Award, which honors the nation’s top wide receiver.
By the end of the night, however, Dotson accepted another invitation, this one to the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. The Senior Bowl’s Twitter account announced Dotson’s acceptance at 9:15 Tuesday night.
Dotson will join teammates Jaquan Brisker, Arnold Ebiketie and Jesse Luketa at the game. The game is scheduled for Feb. 5, 2022, at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile.
Dotson has 83 catches for 1,045 yards and 10 touchdowns this season.
Note: The Reese’s Senior Bowl is scheduled for Feb. 5, 2022, not Jan. 30, 2022, which was written in a previous version of this article.Â
