No. 2 seed Medina cruised to a 54-0 win over Shaker Heights in the Ohio Division I high school playoffs, and five-star quarterback and Penn State commit Drew Allar only needed to play a quarter and a half.
Allar completed 13 of his 17 passing attempts for 254 yards and five touchdowns against Shaker Heights in limited reps, taking a seat on the bench as Medina cruised to the first round win.
Speaking of productivity, Medina QB @AllarDrew went 13/17 for 254 yards and 5 pass TDs…in 1.5 quarters worth of work. That hole shot at :45 seconds 👀 https://t.co/NIpayHnAYl

In 10 regular season games, Allar passes for 3,191 yards and 35 touchdowns on 216-of-333 passing attempts. He completed about 65 percent of his throws at 14.7 yards per attempt with just four interceptions. He also ran for 278 yards and seven more touchdowns on 82 carries.
And his playoff debut, in just about 20 minutes, was more of the same from the regular season.
Medina will be back in action against No. 7 seed Cleveland Heights on Nov. 5. Cleveland Heights is a bit stiffer of an opponent, capping an 8-2 season with a 29-22 first round win.
