Report: James Franklin Changes Agents to CAA’s Jimmy Sexton

Penn State head coach James Franklin has changed agents in the midst of speculation that he could be interested in other jobs, according to a report by John Brice of Football Scoop.

Franklin has replaced longtime agent Trace Armstrong with CAA agent Jimmy Sexton, according to Brice.

Sexton also represents Lane Kiffin, Dan Mullen, Nick Saban, Steve Sarkisian, Kirby Smart and others.

Franklin has been directly tied to the vacant USC position repeatedly, with former Trojans quarterback Carson Palmer saying on Monday that Franklin is among the front-runners for that job.
LSU is another prominent job that has opened that Franklin could be interested in, though there have not been definitive reports linking him to that job.

He could also be more interested in securing additional commitment from Penn State, but he just recently signed a new contract with the Lions in 2020, that is slated to keep him in State College through 2025.
