Penn State’s quest to return to the top of the Big 10, and win a conference championship for the first time since 2016, technically begins on Saturday against Illinois. However, the contest in two weeks against No. 5 Ohio State is the biggest game of the season.
For those in attendance at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, it’ll be a “Scarlet Out” game for the Buckeyes’ faithful. For those at home, they’ll need to tune to ABC to watch the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions at 7:30 p.m.

With the Michigan-Michigan State rivalry being renewed the same weekend, Fox’s Big Noon Saturday will be in East Lansing, Michigan, but College GameDay could very well be in Columbus for Penn State’s third game of the season.
Ohio State has won eight of the last nine games against Penn State, including the last four, with the Lions last win coming in 2016. Which, coincidentally, was the season of Penn State’s last Big 10 title. If the Lions want to make it back to the title game, a win over the Buckeyes will be a must.
