Former Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg has a new job as the quarterback coach at Winslow Township High School in Atco, N.J.
There are now two former PSU players on the coaching staff at Winslow Township. Former Nittany Lion running back Bill Belton is the offensive coordinator at the school, which is Belton’s alma mater.

Hackenberg was PSU’s starting quarterback from 2013-15 and threw for 8,457 yards with 48 touchdowns and 31 interceptions. Belton played at PSU from 2011-14, so in his final two years he and Hackenberg were teammates.
Hackenberg was selected by the New York JetsĀ in the second round of the 2016 NFL draft, with the No. 51 overall pick. But his NFL career was not successful, as he never played in a regular-season game in the league.
He last played professionally in the Alliance of American Football in 2018, starting three games for the Memphis Express. He completed just 32-of-62 passes (51.6 percent) with no touchdowns and three interceptions.
He did pursue a baseball possibility as a pitcher last year, but apparently not much came out of that.
