Notebook (11-5): Asst. recruiting coordinator departs

Update: 11:50 a.m.

**Eric Thatcher, Penn State’s assistant recruiting coordinator, announced this morning that he’s leaving to become the safeties coach at Albany. Thatcher was a safety at Pitt from 2004-08.

This is a good story on Thatcher’s background. He previously served as defensive backs coach at Florida International and was a defensive quality control coach at Pitt.
