Penn State assistant coach Tyler Bowen is heading to the NFL for a job with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and James Franklin issued the following statement Thursday evening thanking Bowen for his efforts at PSU.

Franklin called it a “bittersweet” day to lose Bowen, saying he’s “a great coach, but more importantly a better man.”

Bowen wore many hats for Penn State, serving as tight ends coach, co-offensive coordinator and offensive recruiting coordinator. Read more about him here.
