Penn State has sent an offer to an 8th grader from Tampa, Florida, DJ Pickett, an athlete for the recruiting class of 2025. Pickett is 6-foot-2 and 155 pounds. He’s listed as a safety but has a pinned tweet that reads, “I am a ATH not a DB.”

Sending offers to 8th graders may seem strange to some, but it does happen. Especially for this 8th grader, in particular.
Pickett has been very busy of late posting tweets from the major schools that have offered him. In the past few days, the offers have come from the likes of LSU, West Virginia and Utah. He previously had offers from Florida, Miami, Ole Miss and Georgia Tech.

Pickett is not the youngest player currently with a Penn State offer. In September, 7th grader Amari Sabb from New Jersey said he received a PSU offer.
