**Penn State has made the final eight for 5-star linebacker Shawn Murphy from Virginia. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder is the No. 17 prospect in the nation, according to 247Sports. As you can see from his finalists, these are the best of the best college football programs in the country.

**Penn State has sent an offer to class of 2022 safety and wide receiver Justin Doll from Wellington, Fla. It is Doll’s second offer, the first coming from UAB.

**Former Penn State cornerback Trevor Williams has signed a futures contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to SteelersNow.com.
Williams went undrafted in 2016 but was able to make an impact with the Chargers, appearing in 37 games from 2016-18. He also appeared in two games with the Cardinals in 2019 and two with the Eagles this season.
A futures contract allows a team to claim the player’s rights for the following season, if it wants to sign him to a full contract.
