**Penn State senior defensive end Shane Simmons announced Monday that his college career is over. Simmons could have returned to PSU for one more years thanks to the NCAA’s rule allowing players an extra year of eligibility, but he decided to call it a career.
Simmons was a 4-star recruit in 2016 and spent five years with the PSU program. He wasn’t able to develop into a college star, but he was an important part of the program. He had a career day against Michigan State on senior day as he started and had seven tackles and 1.5 sacks.
It’s been an amazing ride and I’m so glad that I got to do it “My Way.” #WeAre Penn State for life!!
