From the SFU press release:

LORETTO, Pa. – The start of the non-conference series between the Saint Francis and Robert Morris men’s basketball programs has been postponed to the 2021-22 season, both schools announced Tuesday.

The series between the longtime NEC foes was slated to begin December 5 at DeGol Arena, but will be pushed back to next winter.

The Red Flash and Colonials have met 89 times in the history of the rivalry, including three matchups last season. Saint Francis and Robert Morris were conference opponents in the NEC from 1981-2020.

This is the Robert Morris press release:

Moon Township, Pa. – The RMU men’s basketball team announced changes to its 2020-21 schedule Tuesday, as its game scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5, at Saint Francis U has been canceled.

The Colonials will open their 2020-21 season Wednesday, Dec. 9, with a 7:00 p.m. tip at West Virginia. A decision regarding additional non-conference games will be made in the near future.

The health and safety of the RMU and Moon Township community remains paramount as RMU Athletics continues to follow university, local, state and national guidelines in response to the global pandemic.
