First-team all-Big Ten defensive end Shaka Toney announced tonight that his Penn State career is over and that he’s declaring for the NFL draft.

Toney led the Penn State defense this season and was named first-team all-conference by the AP and Big Ten coaches and media. He was the only Nittany Lion named first-team by all three groups.

Toney also was the best player on this year’s team, according to Cory Giger’s rankings.
