I had a good back and forth on Twitter with former PSU QB Tommy Stevens about the merits of the Lion package, after Will Levis fumbled near the goal line. Good stuff here. And cool of Tommy to discuss.
It didn't work with Tommy Stevens.
It hasn't worked with Will Levis so far.
Just keep one QB and run plays with him.— Cory Giger (@CoryGiger) October 24, 2020
Didn’t work? Lol I mean I thought it worked pretty well in the 16 and 17 season? We weren’t as effective in 18 but I was playing that season with a broken foot 🤔 https://t.co/DRBknwBRxG

I greatly appreciate Tommy for responding.
Thank you. Very cool of you.
I am not a believer in that kind of package because it brings a cold QB into tough situations and he's expected to produce right away.
But as with everything in sports, it's always worth a good discussion. https://t.co/6xC7BOS4Di— Cory Giger (@CoryGiger) October 24, 2020
Absolutely! Definitely wasn’t an easy job. Luckily for me I had a ton of really good players around me!
(I think there’s 11 offensive players from that 17 team that are on NFL rosters)
But I agree, it’s an interesting conversation! But of course I am a fan of it!— Tommy Stevens (@TMS_II) October 24, 2020
