Hi, what are you looking for?

Nittany Pride

With Barkley out, Allen Robinson now PSU’s best alum in NFL. Or is he?

The easy answer here is Saquon Barkley, and that’s the first name that will pop into most people’s minds when this question is asked: Who is the best current NFL player from Penn State?

Barkley is one of the faces of the NFL for a reason. He’s an extraordinary talent who can do extraordinary things with the ball. He rushed for 1,307 yards and 1,003 yards the past two seasons playing on terrible New York Giants teams, plus he caught 91 passes and 52 passes, respectively, for 721 yards and 438 yards. He’s scored 17 TDs on the ground and six through the air.

But Barkley is now out for the season after suffering an ACL injury last week.

If you take him out of the equation, now who is the best PSU alum in the NFL?

The choice here is receiver Allen Robinson of the Bears.

But Chris Godwin of the Buccaneers also gets a lot of consideration.

Oh, and don’t forget about one old-timer who may not come to mind at all for many people — Robbie Gould.
